I can still remember in the late 1980s when I got my first set of AERO brake levers - getting rid of those cables sprouting out of the top of the hoods seemed so liberating. Now we have STI, Ergopower and Flight deck all at our finger tips - if you really want it that is.

Some of us just like a nice looking, simple and practical pair of brake levers - for we may have a cherished 'retro' bike from the pre-STI era or a fixed gear which (obviously) has no call for shifters, we may even have a classic touring bike with bar ends and thus just need simple brake levers. Well these classic aero brake levers from Acor are just that!

Designed for use with caliper brakes on drop bars - they have black rubber hoods. The lever itself is a nice polished alloy.

For those who own or who are building your own fixie or singlespeed for the purpose of zipping swiftly between queues of traffic in the urban jungle - you need narrow handlebars!

We like riding these - alot! Sort of like the lovechild of Northroad bars and chopped straight bars. These allow for a slightly more comfortable position on the skinny nip-through-traffic type fixies than do the matchstick straight bars.
