Contact points - saddles, handlebar grips, pedals etc...

^isaprocart^

Whoa, that sounds a little racy! This saddle is a little more 'serious' in that it's designed for  riders who want to pedal faster than perhaps you would on a 'town bike' with a B67 or B17 on. But it's still comfortable. We think this saddle is suited to those looking to add some comfortable longevity to their singlespeed or fixie. A bulky saddle might look out of place on these kind of bikes but a Team Pro with beautiful hand-beaten copper rivets might  just fit in with that retro, but Practical styling you are after.

Heres some science:-
  • Weight - 550g
  • Width - 160mm
  • Length - 260mm
  • Frame - chrome plated steel
AVAILABLE IN BLACK OR HONEY (both with copper rivets) choose from menu below

If you don't have a 'micro adjust, type seatpost but wish to install a Brooks saddle then it's no problem! Just add one of these to your shoping cart and you'll be able to fit your Brooks saddle on the seatpost you already have.

How do you know you need one of these? When you remove your saddle and your seatpost looks like the one in the 2nd picture to the right then you need one of these!

You might have a light on the front and the back of your (long)bike but what about the sides. The flashing LEDs in these pedals make you visible from both sides so other road users waiting at junctions (for example) have a greater chance of seeing you and thus less chance of pulling out into your path!

The added bonus is you'll never have to put batteries in either (they work by the motion you create whilst pedalling) - so they are 'green', low maintenence, increase your road safety and thus, we think - Practical! They even carry on flashing for upto 5 minutes after you stop pedalling. Metal studs make these pedals good in the wet and dry!

If you use your bike for more than one purpose (and we hope you do!) such as a touring bike to do the shopping on or your commuting steed to go to the pub on it can get annoying when you have the shoes on you wish to wear but inappropropriate pedals (and v.v).

Becuase these pedals from Shimano have clip-in SPD on one side and a 'regular' flat surface on the other it means you can ride 'seriously' and efficiently on the spds (for example while touring or comuting) and (apres tour/commute) you can ride to the shops or pub  in 'normal' shoes.

These pass our Practical test - they serve more than one purpose, they cater for the needs of the everyday cyclist wearing normal clothes and they are really well made with superb functionality.

Need we say any more?
